Commercial cannabis growers increase cannabinoids by 10% using the best cannabis grow lights

SANTA ROSE, Calif., Aug. 15, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Executives at Zen Medicine, which combines a medical marijuana dispensary and indoor cannabis business, found that when using Kind LED X2 grow lights at their commercial indoor cannabis farm production of cannabinoids increased by up to 10%.
Founded in 2017 by William Conner and Brian Porter, Zen Medicine is a company that grows and sells medical marijuana in its MT-licensed dispensaries. After launching their in-house high pressure sodium facility, the founders were ready to experiment with LEDs and find better cannabis grow lights as the business expanded.
To meet the growing demand for medical marijuana, the founders transformed their grow space by placing custom Kind X2 LED grow lights for vertical cannabis production between the shelves to make use of the vertical space in their industrial basement.
After experimenting with Kind LED X2 and three other lights, Kind LED has emerged as the best LED cannabis grow light for commercial grow as soon as the results come out. According to Porter, the plant’s structural integrity has been improved with the X2s. “So far the coverage has been phenomenal; our stems are thicker than ever.”
“All the cannabinoids, THC, CBN, CBG, everything that is in our various genes has increased. We tested 24% of our strains, now they are 30%, 32%, 34%. Terpenes. 3%, 4%, 5%,” Connor said.
The co-founder of Zen Medicine also believes that the Kind LED X2 grow light reduces commercial grow costs when expanding.
“Half the installation fee, half the cost of HVAC, all-round savings,” Porter said. “Our electricity costs are about 60 percent of what they used to be and we cost about £2 per lamp.” There are currently 48 lamps in operation, fetching £96 per cannabis bloom.
Nick Schweitzer, COO and longtime cannabis grower at Kind LED, said of his brand’s contribution: “These are the guys who are breeding brand new home grown cannabis strains and really driving the medicinal cannabis movement forward with this development and fine tuning. We are all proud to be part of everything that puts botanical medicine and freedom of choice first.”
